Cleanroom Tables

The furniture you choose for a cleanroom must withstand repeated exposure to harsh cleaning agents. For that reason, stainless steel is typically the material of choice for cleanroom tables and other furnishings.

Cleanroom tables are used in virtually every clean space as a work bench, personal workstation or for supporting equipment. SPS CleanTech can help you find the right tables for your cleanroom. We work with world-class brands that design and build reliable, ergonomic and stylish tables that can stand up to ongoing wear and tear and harsh cleaning solutions. Our tables are available in either 304 or 316 stainless steel and can be custom-built to your specifications.

The Benefits of Cleanroom Tables

Cleanroom tables provide a durable work surface that can withstand the rigors of the cleanroom environment. They are easy to install and practically maintenance-free. SPS CleanTech’s tables are ergonomically designed, making them comfortable to work at for extended periods. A variety of leg height options means you can choose tables that are sized to match the height of your employees. In some applications heavy processing equipment is deployed and standard tables cannot support the wegith. We offer tables designed with extra reinforcing members that can easily accommodate equipment that approach 1,000 lbs.

Tops

Cleanroom tables can have solid tops or perforated tops. Solid-top tables are heavy-duty, providing a clean and durable work surface. Solid stainless steel construction also makes tables easy to clean.

Perforated table tops are preferred when airflow is critical. The top has holes spaced 1 inch apart across the entire surface, allowing for up to 25% laminar airflow. Similar to solid table tops, perforated tops are made from stainless steel and provide a durable, easy-to-clean work surface.

Perimeter ledges are available on select mobile carts to prevent spills and retain other chemicals for safe transportation.

Legs

The legs of the table determine its height and support structure. SPS CleanTech has tables with either square or round legs and heights ranging from 30 inches to 38 inches, with 36 inches being the standard table height.

The legs can be connected with a C-frame or an H-frame. C-frame tables have horizontal bars connecting the front and back legs on each side and a bar connecting the two back legs in a “C” shape.

H-frame tables have a horizontal bar connecting the front and back legs on each side. A third horizontal bar runs across the center, connecting to the first two horizontal bars and forming an “H” shape.

Bases

The bottom of a cleanroom table is as important as the top. Depending on the style you choose, the base of the table can provide extra storage space. One option is an enclosed table, which has a cabinet enclosure built into the base. The cabinet provides room to store personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies.

If you prefer a more open appearance or don’t need much storage space, an open base with a single built-in shelf is another option. You can also skip the storage entirely and choose an open base without a shelf.
